Our school of Spanish in Salamanca is situated the heart of the city, in a historical building, 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor.
It has been recently restored, and equipped with the latest technology; 20 air-conditioned classrooms, a video and conference room, library and an information room with free internet access. There is also a spacious enclosed patio with a typical Castilian well where you can relax with a coffee and chat to friends during the breaks.
The school is surrounded by monuments, restaurants and cafeterias where the students can have breakfast with their teachers, or taste the delicious spanish "tapas", or get involved in the bussle of the social and nightlife (the famous "movida") of Salamancas in its terraces, pubs, cinemas, theatres, ...
Our Spanish courses are accredited by the prestigious Instituto Cervantes and with the CEELE, a main quality certification for Spanish as a foreign language.

Standing on three hills, the towers of Salamanca seem to welcome visitors from the moment they come into view. The glowing sandstone of the city throws off a very special light, giving the whole town a quite unique atmosphere.
Lying on the banks of the river Tormes, this old Castillian town is located 200km from Madrid and just 90km from Portugal.
Columbus, Cervantes and Unamuno all lived here, and Francisco de Rojas was inspired to create his famous work, "La Celestina" within these walls.
The Universidad de Salamanca is the oldest university of Spain and one of oldest Europe - she was created in the year 1218. Already in 16. Century counted it 8,000 students and made it one the most important education formation of Europe. Among the most well-known lecturers are Fray Luis de León and Miguel de Unamuno, about whom numerous anecdotes are told. You can also visit the theatre or go to concerts, lectures etc. On top of this, each month our school prepares a detailed programme of activities. This programme includes some complettely free activities:
- A guided tour of the city on the first day of each month. - Films in Spanish each week. - Sport activities (tennis, bowling, squash, basketball, football). - Board games (chess, cards, trivial pursuit, checkers...). - Each week a party in a local pub-disco with one free drink. - Four lectures every week (art, history, literature, Spanish regions) - The use of internet in the college everyday.
and some activities at a small extra price: - A farewell dinner on the last day of each month. - Classes in traditional Spanish dances. - Weekend excursions to Toledo, Ávila, Madrid, Segovia, Zamora…
The excursions are accompanied by guides that give tours of each city. One day excursions are run on Saturday or Sunday. The price for these excursions varies from 20 to 28 euros per person. Excursions of 2 or 3 days are run to Portugal, Andalucía and Galicia. The prices vary from 90 to 170 Euros and include bus, hotel with breakfast and travel insurance.
Naturally, all of these activities are voluntary and you can participate in those you like the most.

Our shopping discounts On the first day of the course we will give you a School Identity Card that entitles you to significant discounts (from 10% to 20%) in: Bookshops, Photo shop, Swimming pool, Hairdressers, Dance classes, Restaurants, Bars, Museums. You will only get a discount at establishments that have an agreement with us on presenting your card. In the programme we will show you at the start of the month you will be able to see the list of places that have the discount agreement with our school.
How to get to the Spanish language school in Salamanca The quickest and most direct way to travel is by plane to Madrid. Then there are buses and trains that leave from Madrid to Salamanca every hour from 7:00 to 22:00. The journey from Madrid to Salamanca takes approximately 2 and a half hours in which you will be able to enjoy the most varied countryside. You could also travel to Salamanca by bus or train if you are coming from Europe. There is a direct line (with 2 journeys per week) that passes through various countries.
Together with the course booking confirmation we will send you a small map with the situation of the choosen school and a timetable of the busses from Madrid to Salamanca.
Accommodation is an essential part of our programme. All our families, like our flats, residences and the hotels that work with us, are located in the city centre, a maximum of 15 minutes walk on foot to the Plaza Mayor and the school. All the options have everything you need to live comfortably and enjoy a pleasant stay in Salamanca.
If a student is not entirely comfortable, for whatever reason, in the accommodation that we have assigned to him/her, they must tell the school secretary within the first three days of their stay and we will quickly find an alternative.
We offer our students five different possibilities for lodging in Salamanca during their course:
1) With a Spanish host family. All the families that take in our students have been carefully chosen and we guarantee that they will treat you very well, with quality food and a nice clean houses. You can choose between a single or double room, at half or full board. Students must bring their own towels. The family will provide blankets, sheets and duvets for the beds. Facilities for washing clothes are included in the price.
Living with a family has various advantages: you will learn for yourself about the customs, food, routines and way of life through your own experience. Living with a family gives you the chance to practise your Spanish all day long and at the same time expand your vocabulary and improve your pronunciation. In short, it is the best way to integrate fully into Spanish life. This type of accommodation is offered throughout the year.
2) In a student residence. Our school has its own residence in Salamanca. It is in the city centre, five minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor and 10 minutes from the school. It has 42 bedrooms, double and individual, three sitting rooms, a patio and all modern facilities. You can choose between a single or double room, at half or full board. Students must bring their own towels. The residence provides bedclothes. Facilities for washing clothes are included in the price.
Advanteges: In the residence students of all nationalities are put together, so that the atmosphere is a mixture of cultures where the students are enriched by acquiring experiences and anecdotes from all over the world.
3) In a flat shared with other students. These flats have a double room and 2 or 3 single rooms, a bathroom, kitchen and sitting- room. They have central heating and hot water. They are equipped with the necessary furniture to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. All the bedrooms have a bed, a wardrobe, a desk and chair, a small table and shelves. The kitchen is supplied with all the necessary utensils (pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc.). All flats have a washing machine and a fridge. In the sitting room there is a large table on which to eat, a television, a sideboard cabinet and a sofa. Students must bring their own towels. Flats will be cleaned by the school minimum once a week.
Advanteges: As they are shared flats you will make friends quickly with other students from the college. In a flat you will enjoy greater freedom, but at the same time it is a big responsibility, as students must cook, keep the flat clean and act in line with the principles of having to live together.
4) In a studio apartment (minimum 4 weeks) These are small apartments for one or two people, with a bedroom (single or double), a bathroom, and an American kitchen connected to a small lounge. If you choose this option, then you must reserve it well in advance, as we do not have many free studios.
5) In a hotel or hostel We have a large variety of hotels and hostels of different categories, prices and quality in Salamanca.
